About the project

Sharyn and Steve had been living in their home in Beaconsfield for a few years, however they knew the time had come to undertake some renovations to make it their dream “forever home”.

By listening to the clients’ needs and wants, Spaces By Maxine was able to help create a home that will go the distance.

The brief for the kitchen was to “create a kitchen which has a lot of storage, was high functioning and which will last a life time.” In order to achieve this, we opted for a rather neutral colour scheme, with a pop of blue in the splashback. We also used accents of natural materials to ground the overall look. By utilising clever storage features we were able to maximise on storage whilst ensure the kitchen was a practical space to work.

For the bathrooms, the clients knew what they wanted but needed help to execute the vision. By helping select the finishes they were able to achieve this vision with confidence.

Spaces by Maxine also assisted with floor tile selection. For the indoors, we chose tiles to complement the existing wall colour and the new grey, timber and white features in the home. Similarly, the outdoor tiles allowed the feel of the inside to flow out to an inviting space.

I’m pleased to share that Sharyn & Steve were extremely pleased with the end result. Working with Modure Constructions & Diamond Quality Cabinets, we were able to create a home where the clients will be able to regularly entertain, and lead an easy lifestyle “forever”.
