An interior designer differs from an interior stylist. This difference is the training that they have undertaken. Some interior stylists call themselves interior designers, so it’s important to check qualifications before starting a project. Summit & Co. is a university educated Interior Designer. That means she has complete comprehensive study not only in the creative process of interior design, but is also able to use specialist design software (to complete floorplans, 3D views, elevations and more). Her education also means the focus isn’t simply on choosing window furnishings, and other finishes (although that is still important). She is highly trained to create layouts and floorplans which improve the flow of a home and will add value when it comes to sale time.

Builders have often filled the gap between managing trades and client communication as they’re usually the contractors across all elements of a renovation project. Whilst that works well for clients with a clear vision (and when working with builders with a knack for design), all of the design decisions still fall back on you as the client.
